Hi, I’m Taylor!

The one-woman show behind Thistle and Thimble, an embroidery business based in Calgary, Alberta.

What started as a “I should try this” hobby quickly turned into a full-blown obsession with embroidery… and eventually, a business (because there are only so many sweatshirts one person can keep for themselves).
I’m completely self-taught and fueled by a love of creating, cozy things, and, let’s be honest, the thrill of turning an idea into something you can actually wear or gift. Whether it’s custom pet embroidery, a bookish design inspired by your latest fantasy read, a cozy fall piece, a holiday gift, or a one of a kind custom piece, I kind of make whatever I’m currently obsessed with… which means the shop is always a little all over the place (in the best way).
Everything you see here is embroidered by me, with a focus on pieces that feel personal, giftable, and actually wearable day-to-day. A lot of what I do is custom work, because the best items are usually the ones that mean something to you.

You’ll find:

• Seasonal drops (holidays, fall, spring, all of it)
• A few new things I’m very excited about (hint: tiny embroidered keepsakes)

At the end of the day, Thistle and Thimble is about making things that people love enough to keep, gift, and maybe even order again (I mean… ideally 😌).
